Lincoln Park

It is one of the best parks in the city. The games are very safe, it has free Wi-Fi so that dads and not so children do not get bored, an aviary and, on Sundays, rental of remote-controlled boats.

In its surroundings you can find places to eat, coffee shops and ice cream shops.

Thanks to its two water mirrors, it has become the meeting point for collectors of scale boats and you can always find them sitting on a bench, or standing, handling them. In the adjacent park, across the street, there is a special path and a track for skates and skateboards. Have you ever wondered why the Sunken Park, in effect, is sunken? During the nineteenth and early twentieth century the main industrial activity of Mixcoac was the manufacture of bricks. The common landscape was large ditches, tunnels and holes. In one of these large holes, caused by the extractions of the Ladrillera Company of Christmas Eve, the park was built, it is not that it has sunk.

It is possible to abstract yourself from the noise and traffic of the capital once you enter it; Despite the influx of visitors, it is a very quiet place. The vegetation is abundant and, as far as we know, ancient. There are bamboos, pirules, elms, olive trees, orange trees and pines. There is also a playground for children and gym equipment. At the back of the park there are tables with painted chessboards. You will always find an ice cream cart circling.

As soon as you step inside the park, you will notice that the most frequent visitors are the dogs and their walkers. For them there is the pet area, it is a spacious and barred area, designed exclusively to play with your dog without a leash in a safe way. Another facility for these visitors is the installation of a veterinary clinic inside the park, on the side of Porfirio Díaz street.

An audiorama was recently built, a space for listening to outdoor music, the basis of the “Colectivo Audiorama”, where you can listen to classical music from Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm. On weekends there is live music and children’s plays.

Deer Park.

Built between 1952 and 1953, it is officially the Francisco Villa Park, but for the sculptures of its fountains it is known as Parque de los Venados.

Here you will find green areas, recreational areas, nurseries, the popular outdoor theater “Hermanos Soler”, sports courts, playgrounds, the planetarium “Joaquín Gallo” and a headquarters of the Astronomical Society of Mexico.

There is a very busy section of children’s games for you to take the little ones of the house, in addition to a side is a small permanent fair in which they can play target shooting, traditional marbles or ride the rides.

It is also a perfect place to walk with your pet, just remember to collect your feces and deposit them in garbage cans.

Mexico Park

The San Martín General Park is popularly known as Parque México by the name of the street with which it borders. It has an area of ​​88 thousand square meters and is one of the most visited sites in Mexico City.

It was built in 1927 and was designed by architect Leonardo Noriega and engineer Javier Stavoli. It has an oval shape by the track on which it was built and belongs to the Art Deco artistic current, which can be seen in the architectural constructions of the area.

It has corridors and green areas and the Lindberg Forum, which has an emblematic fountain of pitchers, as well as a pond and the traditional clock at the center of the site.
