CARE OF INSULIN

  3. As of the date on which the insulin bottle is opened, it lasts 28 days. You can put a label on the bottle with the opening date so that you have it in mind.
  4. When leaving the trip do not leave the insulin in the suitcase or in the glove compartment of the car. Heat destroys the power of insulin.
  5. Do not use insulin whose expiration date has expired, even if the bottle has remained refrigerated or closed.
  6. Before injecting verify that the bottle or cartridge does not present:·Frost, clots or crystals
  7. If you use a pen for the administration of insulin, you must remove the needle after each application to avoid leakage of insulin or air entering the cartridge, this may affect the accuracy of the dose. Remember that the needles are disposable.
