FOODS TO CONTROL SUGAR IN THE BLOOD

Having a balanced diet helps control blood sugar levels, in addition to other factors such as exercise, etc. There are some foods that have a low glycemic index and are rich in fiber, like our Rancho Natura juices, which help control blood glucose levels. Inclúyelos in your daily diet and you will notice the difference.

Rye bread

Rye bread, spelled bread and wheat bread 100% whole have a glycemic index below 55, which slowly release the blood glucose and does not cause sharp peaks.

Sweet potato

Potatoes have a high glycemic index, so they raise blood sugar quickly, but sweet potatoes have it low and are equally nutritious.

Apple

Most fruits have a low glycemic index, especially apple and blueberries, this is due to its high content of water and fiber that compensates for its natural sugar (fructose).

Keep in mind that, as the fruits mature, the Glycemic Index (GI) increases. Fruit juices also have a high GI because part of the fiber is removed. So when you prepare them at home, at least do not crack them and the loss will be less.

Oats

It has an IG below 55 and contains a type of fiber (beta-glucans), which helps maintain glycemic control because it improves insulin sensitivity.

The most advisable in case of diabetes is your bran. Its flour is also healthy, although it should be consumed in small quantities because it is rich in carbohydrates (1 cup contains 28 g of carbohydrates).

Vegetables

Chickpeas, lentils, beans or peas have a low glycemic index and, above all, a lot of fiber. Several studies have shown that the incorporation of legumes in the diet improves glycemic control and reduces the risk of coronary heart disease in people with type 2 diabetes. Ideally, take 3 servings a week.

We also recommend including Rancho Natura Juices in your diet, because thanks to their high fiber content, it helps control sugar levels, as well as helping you to have a better digestion.
