RECIPE WITH NOPALES: THE NAVIGANTS

  • 4 medium nopales, in small cubes
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 2 dew pasilla chiles
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1 1/2 liter of chicken broth
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 branches of thyme girls
  • 4 corn tortillas in julienne
  • 1 sliced ​​lime
  • Salt to taste

PROCESS

  1. Grill the tomatoes, chiles, garlic and onion.
  2. Blend with 1/2 liter of chicken broth and strain.
  3. Heat 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil and sauté the sauce above.
  4. Pour the rest of the chicken stock and add the nopales when it begins to boil. Season with salt.
  5. Add the thyme and cook for 10 minutes. Fry the tortillas in the rest of the oil and drain on absorbent paper.
