BETABEL TO COMBAT ANEMIA

We will begin by telling you that anemia is a disease in which the blood has less red blood cells, or deficient red blood cells. That is, they do not contain enough hemoglobin.

Hemoglobin is a protein rich in iron that gives blood red, this protein allows red blood cells to transport oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body.

Iron deficiency anemia is the most common and may be due to improper diet, intestinal malabsorption or excessive blood loss.

As a result, fatigue or exhaustion occurs, among other symptoms, such as shortness of breath, dizziness or headaches. Severe or prolonged anemia can cause injury to different organs of the body.

Fortunately, avoiding it and combating it is possible.

One of the most recommended vegetables to combat anemia is beet, thanks to betaine, which helps protect the liver from excess fat or poor diet.

Its high content of sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, and iron mainly, give a great antianemic action, since it stimulates the production of blood cells.

It can be eaten in salads, both leaves and root, or cooked, but definitely my favorite way to consume it is in juice, my favorite is beetroot, orange and cactus.
